The number of newly registered businesses reached 1,200 in August, while the National Business Center (NBC) processed 9,200 applications.
The data show a considerable volume of services provided electronically to businesses, both in the area of registration and in that of licenses, permits and authorizations.
Of the 9,200 applications submitted online, the majority, 7,300 applications, were related to the Commercial Register. This category accounts for around 79% of the total online applications during the month.
Meanwhile, 776 applications were registered in the Beneficial Owners Register, while 1,134 applications were related to the Register of Permits, Licenses and Authorizations. These represent around 8.4% and 12.3% of the total, respectively.
In addition to the 1,200 newly registered businesses, the NBC reports that 126 new licenses and 19 new permits were issued during the month.
The statistics also provide an overview of the assistance service that the NBC offers to citizens and entities using its services.
During the month, 1,300 requests were handled through support tickets and email.
