14 Audiovisual Projects Receive Financial Support in Albania

The National Center of Cinematography of Albania has announced the winners in the “Various Cinematographic Projects” category.

A total of 14 projects will receive financial support from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of Albania. The aim is to strengthen Albania’s audiovisual industry. It also seeks to support new cultural and creative initiatives.

The call for applications was opened in March. It closed on April 15. The supported projects include film festivals, training workshops, publications, research initiatives and promotional activities.

Among the selected projects is the 24th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival. Also included is the 10th edition of the Balkan Film Market.

Other supported initiatives include the Human Rights Film Festival in Albania and the Tirana 48 Hour Film Project. In addition, projects such as the Tirana Mediterranean Film Festival and the AI Film Festival Tirana were selected.

Organizers also approved funding for traveling cinema programs, workshops, and regional cultural events. Overall, the initiative aims to expand opportunities in Albania’s film and audiovisual sector and support long-term industry development.
