20-year government bond auction opens today in Albania

TIRANA, May 4 – The Ministry of Finance published the calendar of government securities auctions for May. It invited citizens and investors to take part in the process.

Finance Minister Petrit Malaj said participation in government securities auctions offers an attractive investment opportunity. He highlighted competitive interest rates and a low risk level.

Government securities remain among the safest financial instruments on the market. The state guarantees them. Public interest in this form of investment continues to grow.

The published calendar provides investors with dates for the May auctions. It aims to support planning and timely participation.

The schedule shows that the 20-year government bond auction opens today. On May 12 and May 26, the authorities will hold treasury bill auctions with maturities of 6 and 12 months.

In addition, auctions for 2-year, 3-year, and 7-year government bonds will take place on May 13, May 19, and May 25.
The Ministry of Finance calls on citizens and businesses to use these financial instruments. It encourages them to invest savings in a safe and sustainable way.
