International credit rating agency Moody’s has upgraded Albania’s outlook from “stable” to “positive”. At the same time, it has affirmed the country’s sovereign rating at “Ba3”, the General Directorate of Taxes said.
According to the Tax Administration, Moody’s identified strong budget revenue performance and the implementation of the Medium-Term Revenue Strategy (MTRS) as positive factors.
Moreover, the Tax Administration said the improved outlook reflects stronger public finances and progress in reforms. It also linked the development to Albania’s broader efforts on its path toward European Union integration.
Meanwhile, Moody’s has maintained Albania’s sovereign rating at “Ba3”. However, the change in the outlook signals a more positive assessment of the country’s potential financial trajectory.
The improved outlook comes as Albania continues to strengthen public revenue collection and implement reforms aimed at improving the country’s financial position.
