Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla and Agricultural University of Tirana Rector Prof. Sallaku signed a new cooperation agreement. The agreement aims to connect students more closely with the labour market. It will also expand academic expertise in support of Albania’s agricultural sector.
The agreement will provide students with professional internships and career guidance. It will also give them information about vacancies at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and its subordinate institutions. Students will be able to apply according to their fields of study through merit-based and open competition.
Meanwhile, the cooperation will also cover academic and scientific activities. The Agricultural University of Tirana will provide expertise from professors and researchers in agriculture, veterinary medicine, food safety, agricultural economics, biotechnology, aquaculture, and water and land management.
Salla said the agreement will give students more experience and opportunities. He added that the university will contribute knowledge and expertise. The ministry will connect them with the practical needs of the agricultural sector.
