The “Not in My Name” protest continued for an eighth night in Prishtina. Citizens gathered in Skanderbeg Square to oppose the convictions handed down by the Kosova Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former Kosova Liberation Army leaders.
Singer Ylli Limani joined the eighth-night protest. Singer Leonora Jakupi and journalist and war veteran Resul Sinani also addressed the gathering. The protesters have called for justice for Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi.
Meanwhile, participants carried banners reading “Not in My Name” and “Freedom Has a Name”. They also carried Albanian and Kosova Liberation Army flags. The Organization of War Veterans of the Kosova Liberation Army has announced protests in cities across Kosova for September 25 from 17:00.
