The Excellence Programme and the National Internship Programme are government initiatives that help young graduates enter Albania’s public administration. The two programmes differ in the type and duration of the opportunity they offer.
Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu shared the experiences of two young women who have joined the public administration through the programmes. Juli said she entered the seventh call of the National Internship Programme two years ago. She described the opportunity as a starting point for gaining professional experience and building a career.
Meanwhile, Megi joined the office of the Chief Negotiator for EU Integration after studying abroad. She said the experience showed her that technical skills matter, but a proactive approach at work can also help young people develop and make a practical contribution.
The Excellence Programme provides one-year direct employment for high-achieving students with grade averages of 9 to 10. The National Internship Programme provides a three-month professional internship, with the possibility of renewal.
