Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha attended a lunch hosted by European Commission Vice-President and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. Western Balkan leaders and foreign ministers also attended.
The discussions focused on current developments in the Western Balkans, regional challenges and closer coordination to support peace, stability and security.
In a post on X, Hoxha said he and Kallas had stressed the need to make the EU perspective for the entire region more concrete. They also discussed maintaining momentum in the enlargement process, advancing reforms and firmly anchoring the Western Balkans within the European family.
Hoxha said Albania remains fully committed to its ongoing EU membership process. He also stressed Albania’s commitment to constructive regional cooperation and to a stronger, more united and secure Europe.
