Representatives of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (IKTK) met with Baba Mondi, the World Leader of the Bektashi Order, at the World Bektashi Headquarters.
The meeting focused on institutional cooperation to preserve, conserve and restore cultural heritage sites associated with the Bektashi community.
During the talks, the participants focused on two important Bektashi monuments: the “Good Place of Ballëm Sultan (Guva)” near the Old Tekke in Ballenjë, Martanesh, and the Tekke in Pesh village.
IKTK representatives and Baba Mondi discussed the current condition of the sites, identified existing challenges and explored possible interventions.
The planned measures aim to improve access and safety, manage water systems and preserve the authentic values of the monuments.
IKTK said it will continue coordinating with the World Bektashi Headquarters to protect this valuable cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.
