Prime Minister Edi Rama met with a group of parents of children with disabilities to discuss the creation of a National Council and measures to strengthen the system of support teachers.
During the meeting, Rama said that a training system should be established for support teachers, while also stressing the need to provide them with additional financial support.
“A training system needs to be established, and we should consider providing these teachers with additional financial support. They should receive a bonus on top of their salary,” Rama said.
The Prime Minister also proposed establishing an advisory council that would meet regularly and help address issues in a timely manner.
“We need to organize an advisory council that meets regularly and has a small secretariat, with someone who can report problems in real time,” Rama said.
