The U.S. Embassy has issued a statement regarding Prime Minister Edi Rama’s meeting on Wednesday with the new U.S. Ambassador, Eric Wendt. The Embassy shared images from the meeting, stating that a strong partnership is measured by what two nations achieve together.

In its post, the Embassy said that Rama and Ambassador Wendt discussed deepening cooperation in the field of defense, expanding trade and investment, as well as strengthening efforts to combat organized crime.

“A strong partnership is measured by what two nations achieve together. Ambassador Eric Wendt met today with Prime Minister Edi Rama to discuss deepening defense cooperation, expanding trade and investment, and strengthening the fight against organized crime,” the Embassy wrote.
