Albania police chief Hita assures students of safety at universities

Albania State Police Director General Skënder Hita congratulated students on the start of the new academic year. He said the police will step up its efforts to ensure their safety and provide a calm environment for study.

Hita said the State Police will work with students to prevent any activity that could threaten safety on university campuses. He also stressed that cooperation with students adds value to the police’s work.

“Safety is built together,” Hita said, stressing the importance of cooperation between students and the State Police.

Students across Albania began the 2026-2027 academic year today. More than 20,000 students entered university lecture halls for the first time.
