Albania Under-21 draw 2-2 with Ukraine in dramatic friendly

Albania’s Under-21 team drew 2-2 with Ukraine in a friendly match in Eger, Hungary, on Monday. The match took place at Szentmarjay Tibor Varosi Stadion. Albania produced a strong performance and controlled much of the game.

Albania took the lead in the 18th minute through Kevin Dodaj. The team created several other chances and could have extended its advantage before half-time. Ukraine levelled from the penalty spot in the 55th minute through Oleksii Talpa. Two minutes later, Dmytro Bohdanov put Ukraine ahead.

However, Albania continued to push forward. Erald Maksuti equalised in the 90th minute after converting a corner. Albania created another chance in stoppage time through Gabriel Kulla, but the match ended 2-2.

The result provided a useful test for Albania’s Under-21 side as it continues preparations for next year’s European Under-21 Championship finals in Albania.
