Albania interior minister, police chief meet Shkodër police leaders

Interior Minister Ervin Demo and State Police Director General Skënder Hita met with local State Police leaders in Shkodër on Monday.

According to media reports, the meeting focused on public order and security issues in the region. The participants also discussed efforts to combat crime, particularly the cultivation and distribution of narcotics.

Meanwhile, they reviewed the performance of local police structures. Their response to criminal activity will also form part of the assessment.

Shkodër is the first region to host the meetings as part of a series introducing the new leadership of the Interior Ministry and State Police.
