Rama: Zvërnec Project Aims to Set Example for Nature-Friendly Investment

Prime Minister Edi Rama described the investment project in Zvërnec as a model for developing projects in harmony with nature. He made the remarks on Tuesday in Luxembourg, following the 10th Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference.

Asked by The Kyiv Independent about Jared Kushner’s investment plans in Albania, Rama said international media coverage could give an incomplete picture of developments in the country. He invited journalists to visit Albania and assess the project firsthand.

Rama stressed that the Zvërnec project went beyond a single investor’s name. He said the government aimed to create a model for sustainable investment and development that respects the natural environment.

He also acknowledged that the project still needed to prove its merits. Rama said the work underway would eventually provide evidence of its progress and help convince a wider audience of its value.
