Chapter 20 covers enterprise and industrial policy. Its provisional closure marks the fourth negotiating chapter Albania has completed at this stage in just a few months. Rama thanked Ireland, which holds the rotating EU Council presidency, for its support and called for closer cooperation to accelerate the accession process.
However, Rama stressed that progress depends on more than the number of chapters closed. “Progress is measured above all by the reforms implemented, stronger institutions and tangible results,” he said.
The prime minister also thanked EU member states for their continued trust and commitment. He acknowledged that Albania still has work to do but said the country was ready to move forward.
Rama also looked ahead to the next Growth Plan Summit and Investment Forum, which Tirana will host. He expressed hope that Albania would achieve further progress and secure additional recognition of its reform efforts before the events.
