Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu has once again reacted to the protests that have been taking place in Tirana for three days, calling for young people and minors not to be drawn into acts of violence or used for political battles.
In a social media post, Koçiu described the situation unfolding on the streets of the capital as concerning, particularly due to the presence of young people and minors in scenes of violence.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that no political confrontation should take precedence over the safety of minors and that every parent wants their child to return home safe and sound.
“Regardless of our political beliefs, we all share the same concern: the safety and future of our children.
The scenes of violence on the streets of Tirana are worrying, especially when we see young people and minors among those involved.
Young people have the right to protest, express themselves and demand a better future. But no one should involve them in violence or use them for political battles.
At the end of the day, every parent wants their child to return home safe and sound.
No political battle is worth more than the lives, safety and future of our children,” Koçiu wrote on Facebook.
