Kosovo Wins Two Medals at WAKO Kickboxing World Cup in Uzbekistan

Kosovo kickboxers Nart Kastrati and Art Dulaj won two medals at the WAKO Kickboxing World Cup, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from October 13 to 18.

Kastrati claimed silver in the under-81kg category after reaching the final, while Dulaj secured bronze in the under-67kg division.

According to the Kosovo Kickboxing Federation, more than 2,530 athletes and delegation members from over 48 countries took part in the international competition.

Kosovo sent a three-member delegation led by federation president Fatmir Makolli, alongside the two athletes.

Makolli praised their achievement, stressing that the medals carried special significance because Uzbekistan has yet to recognise Kosovo’s independence.

“This success has special meaning for us. In a country that still does not recognise our state, our athletes represented Kosovo with pride and dignity, proving that sport is one of our country’s strongest ambassadors on the international stage,” Makolli said.

The two medals mark another international success for Kosovo kickboxing.
