Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again commented on the protests that have been taking place in Tirana for the past seven days.
In a post on his Facebook page, Rama reiterated that he is ready for dialogue with anyone, “except those engaging in violence and political parties that fail to distance themselves from violence.”
“Protests are a RIGHT, while violence is a CRIME, and this red line will be strictly enforced at this critical stage of our democratic development.
Citizens must be patient and not fall prey to pressure from media manipulators and phone screens.
Protesters must distance themselves from those engaging in violence, otherwise they will face the same financial consequences.
Those responsible for violence must and will face the legal and financial consequences of their recklessness.
The governing majority and I are ready for dialogue with anyone except those engaging in violence and political parties that fail to distance themselves from violence. Anywhere. At any time. Without conditions,” Rama wrote on Facebook.
