PM Rama Responds After Students Reject Dialogue: “I Am Available”

Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded after lecturers and intellectuals who joined the anti-government protests rejected dialogue, reiterating that he is ready to hold talks with anyone willing to engage in discussions.

In a video posted on social media, filmed inside the Prime Minister’s Office, Rama highlighted the chants of protesters calling for his resignation and rejecting dialogue with the government.

“Resignation! Down with the dictatorship! Down with communism! We don’t want dialogue! These are the chants of the lecturers and intellectuals gathered down here,” Rama said in the video.

Alongside the footage, the prime minister reiterated that he remains open to talks with protesters and any group willing to sit down at the negotiating table, as student protests and opposition to the government continue in the capital.
