PM Rama in Montenegro: Berlin Process summit an important annual tradition

Prime Minister Edi Rama has described the Berlin Process summit as an important annual tradition for the Western Balkans. He made the remarks upon arriving at the summit in Montenegro.

Rama opened his comments with a joke about the host country, saying he was happy to be in such a beautiful place. He added that Montenegro was the only country where a helicopter seemed to hover overhead whenever he visited.

The prime minister also welcomed the opportunity to continue discussions with regional partners. Leaders from the six Western Balkan countries are meeting in Miločer to discuss economic cooperation, regional security and European integration.

The summit brings together representatives from Albania, Kosova, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, alongside European leaders and institutions. Discussions focus on economic development, competitiveness, cross-border trade, investment and closer regional ties to support the region’s path towards European Union membership.
