Justice minister highlights peaceful protests and youth employment opportunities

Justice Minister Toni Gogu met young interns at the Ministry of Justice and its subordinate institutions. They discussed protests, employment opportunities, professional experience and young people’s future in Albania.

For 2026, the ministry and its subordinate institutions have included 82 interns. Gogu stressed the importance of listening to young people and helping them build their future in Albania. He said young people had expressed their concerns in the streets, lecture halls and public institutions. He described their decision to speak within institutions as particularly important.

The minister also voiced support for the right to peaceful protest. Drawing on his experience as a former student protester, he said peaceful protests had historically brought change.

Gogu said the challenge for him and the ministry’s members of parliament was to increase employment opportunities and the number of work contracts available to young people.
