Protests Continue in Tirana This Sunday as Protesters Gather Outside the Prime Minister’s Office

The protest, which initially began outside the Ministry of Education, has moved to Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Upon arriving at the site, tensions escalated once again. Protesters grabbed and smashed the “dialogue chairs” placed outside the Prime Minister’s Office by Prime Minister Edi Rama, before setting them on fire in the middle of the road.

Police forces remain on standby in the area to monitor further developments and prevent the situation from escalating.

So far, police have not intervened, and there have been no clashes between officers and protesters.
