Albanian Customs Strengthen Regional Cooperation Against Cross-Border Crime

The Albanian Customs Administration is strengthening regional cooperation to fight cross-border crime. It works with international authorities through the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC), sharing information and coordinating operations.

The administration also supports joint efforts to improve regional security. As part of this work, it reports information on seizures carried out by law enforcement authorities.

Meanwhile, an Albanian Customs delegation attended the 27th SELEC Council meeting in Bucharest. The meeting concluded the process of electing the organisation’s new Director General. Romania’s candidate, Madalina Sorina Vlangar, won the post.

The Albanian Customs Administration reaffirmed its commitment to closer regional cooperation. It will continue to exchange information and coordinate with partner institutions to strengthen the fight against criminal networks operating across borders.
