Assassination attempt against former prosecutor Arjan Ndoj/ SPAK requires 30 years in prison for 5 defendants

On Tuesday, the special prosecution requested a sentence of 30 years in prison in total for the 5 people accused of the assassination attempt of former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja and his friend Pëllumb Muharremi in November 2019.

The attack took place near the Sukthi overpass on the Tirana Durres highway, while the driver Andi Maloku, who was driving the car in which former prosecutor Ndoja and Pellumb Muharremi, also known as Aleksander Laho, were traveling, was killed, Gent Ndernjaku, Endrit Sinan and Julian Pjetri, who at the same time were granted a summary trial and if they are found guilty, they benefit from a reduction of the sentence by one third.

SPAK demands that Ramazan Rraja be sentenced to 11 years in prison, if found guilty he will serve 7 years and 4 months in prison.

For Genti Nderjaku, SPAK asked for a sentence of 6 years in prison and for Bashkim Haxhia, 5 years and 4 months. While Julian Pjeter and Endri Sinan were sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment each.

The next session will be held on October 2, where it is expected that the court will give the decision.
