The request that the prosecutor’s office of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana, Elona Alvora, has sent to the Assembly and the police for the execution of the decision for the democratic deputy, Ervin Salianji, is clarified, after the Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the First Instance for the sentence of 1 year in prison under the charge of reporting fake.

ABC Nea’s reporter, Fjona Xhafaj, reported that the prosecution has sent the notification for the execution of the prison sentence for Salianji. Xhafaj added that the procedures for removing the mandate of MP Salianji will be followed.

“The Assembly has declared that the Council of Mandates has no reason to convene, as the decision of Article 71 of the Constitution will be implemented.

There will be a finding after the receipt of the letter and then the procedures for the removal of Salianji’s mandate will be followed. Salianji will not be a part of politics and exercise public functions for up to 5 years”, reported the journalist of ABC News, Fjona Xhafaj.

The Council of Mandates has decided not to meet for Salianj, as it clarified that the decision for the deputy will be automatically implemented, after his sentence of 1 year in prison.

Salianji, after this decision, loses his mandate as a deputy and referring to the decriminalization law, he no longer has the right to run for the next parliamentary elections.
