Kosovo parties reach consensus on ratification of border deal with Montenegro

Kosovo political parties have on Saturday finally reached a consensus enabling ratification of the Agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro. The news has been confirmed by Speaker of Parliament Kadri Veseli, and Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli. The consensus was reached a day after Parliament failed to ratify the deal because of disagreements of PM Ramush Haradinaj with the opposition party, LDK on modalities of the Draft Law. MPs are expected to convene again on 28 February to vote ratification of the disputed deal which is one of the last criteria for Kosovo to get visa liberalisation with the EU.
