TIRANA, April 1 – Albanian President Bajram Begaj marked the 17th anniversary of the country’s NATO membership, calling it a historic achievement. He said joining the alliance strengthened Albania’s security, sovereignty, and role in the Euro-Atlantic community.
In a social media post, Begaj highlighted Albania’s contribution as a reliable ally in promoting international peace and security. He underlined the country’s ongoing engagement in NATO missions and operations.
The president praised the commitment and professionalism of the Albanian Armed Forces. He noted that Albanian troops have served with distinction alongside allies in every mission requiring their presence.
Begaj stressed that Albania remains steadfast in its commitment to being a factor of stability and security. He added that the country will continue working with allies to support peace, stability, and a safer future for all.
