“Mamalia,” the Mystical Creature, Stages Performance at COD

Artists Maéva Lessére and Simon Gabillet performed “Mamalia” last night at COD.

The performance, guided by Edi Blloshmi, received warm applause. It blends contemporary ballet and theater, where the two characters interact across multiple dimensions.

“Two curious souls explore each other’s existence through movements both primitive and modern. They highlight the creation, glorification, and eventual destruction of abstract bonds of belief,” wrote COD.

Mamalia, a silver, mystical creature, reflects the deepest human instincts. The characters come from different worldviews but share a common primal essence. Their interaction emerges through body, mind, and spirit, driven by instinct, survival, self-preservation, and reproduction.
