Rain showers and short thunderstorms expected across Albania

TIRANA, April 2 – The Military Weather Service reported that Albania will experience unstable atmospheric conditions on Thursday.

Clouds will range from moderate to dense, with short sunny intervals in the Western Lowlands after midday. Light rain will appear across much of the country from the early hours. Isolated short thunderstorms may occur in some areas. Rain intensity will decrease after midday, especially over mountainous regions.

In the Alps above 1,000–1,100 meters, light to locally moderate snow is expected in the northeast and southeast. Winds will blow from northeast to southeast at an average speed of 8 m/s. Coastal and lowland areas may see gusts up to 17 m/s, with sea waves reaching force 4–5.
