Fraudulent SMS Messages in the Name of the Post – Police: Be Careful If You Receive This Message

The Directorate for the Investigation of Cyber Crimes at the State Police has raised the alarm this Monday about the circulation of fraudulent SMS messages, which falsely appear as notifications from postal services regarding package deliveries.

According to the official announcement, these messages contain suspicious links and urge citizens to take immediate action, with the aim of deceiving them and obtaining sensitive data.

Authorities state that the purpose of these schemes is to acquire personal information, steal banking data, and gain unauthorized access to citizens’ financial accounts.

The Directorate for the Investigation of Cyber Crimes emphasizes that these are clear fraud attempts and calls on citizens to exercise maximum caution in every case.

The police urge citizens not to click on links sent from unknown numbers, not to share personal or banking information, and not to follow instructions that demand urgent action without prior verification.

Meanwhile, it is recommended that such messages be deleted immediately and that there be no interaction with their content. Any suspicious case should be reported to the relevant authorities.

The Directorate for the Investigation of Cyber Crimes stresses that it remains committed to identifying and combating these fraudulent schemes, with the aim of ensuring digital security for all citizens.
