Minister Hoxha in Durrës: Youth, the main pillar of Albania’s path toward the EU

The Minister for Integration, Hoxha, held a meeting with students and pupils in the city of Durrës, emphasizing the importance of youth engagement in Albania’s European integration process.

As part of the “EU and You: Europe Starts Here” tour, Minister Hoxha, together with his colleague Adea Pirdeni, met with students from the “Naim Frashëri” high school and students from Aleksandër Moisiu University. During the meeting, students shared questions and ideas regarding reforms and expectations for Albania in the EU, as well as the role they can play in building a modern and European society.

“Discussions with young people are always inspiring. Their thoughtful questions showed maturity, clarity, and ambition,” Minister Hoxha said in a post on X, emphasizing that the energy and vision of youth are a guarantee for the country’s European future.

The meeting in Durrës confirmed that Albania’s path toward the European Union is inseparable from the engagement and active participation of the younger generation— a key element for advancing reforms and strengthening the country’s international image.
