Transparency Board cuts diesel price by 4 Lek per litre, gasoline unchanged

TIRANA, April 8 – The Transparency Board set new fuel prices today following fluctuations on the Mediterranean Platts market.

Retail diesel standard SSH EN 590 dropped by 4 Lek per litre, from 224 Lek to 220 Lek. Wholesale diesel will not exceed 208 Lek per litre. Gasoline prices remain unchanged. Retail gasoline will cost a maximum of 181 Lek per litre, and wholesale will cap at 169 Lek.

The new prices take effect today at 15:30. They will remain in force until the next board meeting. Authorities told all traders to follow the rules. They warned that violations may lead to suspension of operations.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, and the Albanian Regulatory Authority for Energy (ARCTI) pledged to protect consumers. They aim to maintain fair competition in the fuel market.
