TIRANA, April 8 – The Albanian Investment Corporation signed cooperation agreements with public partners to launch the “Independent Institutions Complex” project. The initiative aims to modernise administrative infrastructure and improve public services.
At the ceremony, director Elira Kokona described the project as a key step toward urban and institutional change. She said the plan will improve access to services. At the same time, it will transform ageing public properties into a modern administrative complex.
In addition, the project will bring several independent institutions into one location. This approach will improve coordination and increase efficiency. The complex will host INSTAT, the Ombudsman, the Competition Authority, the Civil Service Oversight Commissioner, the Civil Service Commission, the Public Procurement Commission, and the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection.
As a result, authorities expect better working conditions for public administration staff. They also expect higher transparency and easier access for citizens.
More broadly, the project supports efforts to strengthen the rule of law and institutional capacity. At the same time, it contributes to the urban development of the capital.
