Kamzë Municipality hosted the promotion of Ahmet Prençi’s new novel, “The Minister”, at the “Angela Merkel” school.
The event gathered Mayor Rakip Suli, the book’s publisher Elda Vela, writers Ben Blushi, Arben Çejku, and Ylljet Aliçka. Actors Ervin Bejleri and Ola Arizaj performed excerpts from the novel, engaging the audience.
First, moderator Monika Stafa highlighted the political depth of the book. She added that political thrillers like this sell very well.
Next, publisher Elda Vela thanked the municipality and Mayor Suli for their support. She emphasized that the book confronts readers with questions of justice and responsibility. The novel offers a strong political and emotional journey. Vela also suggested it could be adapted into a film trilogy.
Then, Ylljet Aliçka spoke about literature’s power. He said the book unites people and inspires filmmakers.
Meanwhile, Ben Blushi explained the story. It follows a former criminal who returns to politics and becomes the Interior Minister. He stressed the connection between politics and crime. He also praised the author’s skill in telling this story.
Finally, Blushi concluded: “Good triumphs. Ahmet and the state catch the criminal where he belongs. It’s worth reading to understand a different side of Albania.”
The promotion inspired the audience. It sparked discussion and encouraged readers to reflect on society and politics.
