Blendi Gonxhja said traditional crochet art is a UNESCO candidate. He announced the nomination of “ojnat.” He submitted it in a joint file with Romania and Turkey.

In addition, he described its role in history. People used it in traditional clothing and home textiles. Moreover, he said artisans still practice it today. They preserve and develop the craft.
Finally, he said the tradition represents Albania abroad. He said it strengthens cultural identity.
