Easter celebration in Dhërmi features drone and fireworks display

TIRANA, April 12 – Dhërmi turned into a festive scene on Easter Eve, as hundreds of Orthodox believers gathered to celebrate the Holy Day. The coastal village hosted large crowds who joined prayers and candlelit rituals marking one of the most important dates in the Orthodox calendar.

The atmosphere combined traditional worship with a modern light show. Drones lit up the night sky, while fireworks added a dramatic visual backdrop to the celebrations. The event created a strong festive mood across the area.

Orthodox Easter remains a central religious celebration, symbolising the Resurrection of Christ and the renewal of hope for believers. Across Albania, churches and cathedrals welcomed worshippers who took part in services and collective prayer.

In this context, the Dhërmi celebration reflected both spiritual devotion and evolving public festivities, blending religious tradition with contemporary visual displays.
