Rama: Tomorrow We Welcome the Diaspora Summit in Tirana

Prime Minister Edi Rama continued today with the next episode of his podcast “Flasim.” During the podcast, he addressed the first topic, speaking about the 4th Diaspora Summit.

Rama emphasized that the summit will begin tomorrow with the welcoming ceremony and, as he noted, it will once again bring together Albanians from all over the world.

“Tomorrow we welcome in Tirana the Diaspora Summit, the fourth edition, which once again gathers Albanians from all corners of the world—those who work and live abroad but keep their eyes on Albania. Whenever they have the opportunity, they think about or visit Albania. We begin on April 13 with the welcoming ceremony.

It is an appreciation not only for Albanians who have contributed abroad but also for their friends who have chosen to be part of their journey. The diaspora is a concrete force for development and comes for the first time after a historic participation in the country’s elections. It represents an expanded space of Albania beyond its borders and is becoming a continuously transforming Albanian reality—always as a direct partner, first in politics, then in the economy, and step by step in new paths of knowledge.

Our challenge is not only to maintain this connection at a symbolic level, but to structure an entire network of hearts that beat for Albania everywhere, and minds that create added value in a cooperation that produces results for the country and not only for Albanians, wherever they are,” Rama said.
