“Albania Leads the Region in Improvements,” Rama: We Will Receive the EU Report on Public Procurement in the Coming Days

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated in his podcast “Flasim” that in the coming days Albania will receive a report from the European Union on public procurement, prepared by professional EU instruments.

According to the head of government, the EU report is a reliable and high-quality instrument that has analyzed the overall landscape of public procurement in the region, highlighting Albania’s improvements.

“And finally, I would like to share with you that in the coming days we will receive a very meaningful report from the European Union, through the relevant instrument of SIGMA and the OECD, which has analyzed the overall picture of public procurement in our region, where Albania stands out for its improvements.

Through figures and facts, we will also show the public how far the repeated claims are from reality—claims that feed a negative perception regarding Albania’s relationship with corruption and the position of this majority toward corruption—compared to the actual facts and concrete figures identified and presented not by the government and its experts, but by a reliable and high-quality EU instrument. With full integrity and professionalism, this will demonstrate the truth regarding public procurement, transparency, and the quality of the mechanisms that put them into use for the benefit and interest of the public, where Albania stands out as the leading country in our region,” Rama said.
