Diaspora Summit IV agenda unveiled, focus placed on “Albania 2030”

TIRANA, April 12 – The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs unveiled the detailed agenda of the Fourth Diaspora Summit, set to take place in Tirana from April 13 to 15. The ministry said the event aims to strengthen ties with Albanians abroad and translate diaspora potential into concrete development outcomes under the “Albania 2030” framework.

The summit, held under the motto “Through roots we rise,” will take place mainly at the Palace of Congresses. Organisers have scheduled a series of thematic panels covering key national policy areas and development priorities.

Discussions will focus on the role of the diaspora in democracy and representation, as well as its contribution to economic development, innovation, healthcare, education, and scientific research. Participants will also address investment flows, knowledge exchange, and the preservation of identity through language and culture.

The agenda further highlights diaspora engagement in electoral and institutional processes. It also emphasises coordination between Albania, Kosova, and other Albanian stakeholders in the region on diaspora policy.

The summit is expected to bring together senior officials, institutional representatives, experts, and diaspora members from around the world. Authorities aim to establish long-term cooperation mechanisms and strengthen the diaspora’s role as an active partner in national development.
