Rama: Tourist numbers rise in March from US and EU countries

Edi Rama met tourism operators in Vlora. He focused on tourism growth and development. First, he said tourist arrivals increased in March compared to last year. He highlighted strong growth from Europe and the United States.

Moreover, he shared detailed statistics. For example, visitors from Italy rose by 11%, while visitors from the USA increased by 45%.

In addition, he said Germany and the UK also showed growth. Germany increased by 23%, and the UK by 22%. Furthermore, he noted even higher growth from smaller markets. For instance, Norway increased by 105%, and Denmark by 711%.

As a result, he said Albania attracts more international visitors than before. Also, he linked this growth to national tourism development. He said the country improves its global visibility.

Moreover, he reflected on Vlora’s transformation. He said the Lungomare area was once damaged and neglected. However, he said urban projects changed the city. Therefore, Vlora now serves as a key tourism destination.

Finally, he emphasized continued progress in tourism and infrastructure.
