Tourism students graduate from Swiss program in Albania

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, attended the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of students from the professional Hotel and Tourism school program in Albania.

The students studied under the Swiss École Hôtelière de Lausanne program. They received internationally recognized training that improves their job prospects and ensures competitive working conditions and salaries similar to those in Europe.

Ibrahimaj said the government has focused on vocational education for many years. She explained that this path helps create a new generation of skilled workers who do not necessarily need university studies to secure well-paid jobs.

She said the government has invested in schools, dormitories, and laboratories. It has built the infrastructure needed for students to choose vocational education.

She added that improving teaching quality is also essential. She stressed that international expertise helps raise standards and brings Albania closer to global service quality.

Ibrahimaj said European integration is not only about laws and obligations. She said it also requires transformation across all sectors of the economy.

She praised the graduates for their skills in English, IT, and professional service delivery in hospitality, kitchen, and tourism fields.
