Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to visit Italy and Spain for talks with counterparts Giorgia Meloni and Pedro Sanchez

TIRANA, April 16 – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama begins a working visit to Italy and Spain from April 16 to 18. The trip includes meetings with European leaders and participation in an international summit.

The Prime Minister’s Office said Rama will meet Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome. He will also hold talks with Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto during the visit.

The visit continues in Barcelona. Rama attends the fourth Summit “In Defence of Democracy” at the invitation of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. The event brings together global leaders.

The summit focuses on institutions, multilateral cooperation, and digital challenges. Discussions also cover disinformation and technology. Participants address regulation of the digital environment and democratic resilience.

Rama also holds bilateral meetings during the Barcelona programme. He will also meet Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and European Council President Antonio Costa, according to the official agenda.
