The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has released the Transport Sector Strategy and Action Plan 2030 for public consultation. The documents set the direction for transport development aligned with national priorities and EU integration.
The strategy aims to build a modern, safe, and sustainable transport system. It seeks to improve connectivity, increase economic efficiency, and ensure better access for citizens and businesses in line with EU standards.
Key objectives include alignment with EU acquis, infrastructure development, and integration with the TEN-T network. The plan also promotes sustainable and multimodal mobility. It aims to improve safety and service quality and strengthen institutional coordination.
The document prioritizes faster integration into the TEN-T network. It also focuses on stronger implementation of EU legislation and better planning and monitoring of investments.
The strategy foresees a major investment program worth around €7.9 billion for 2026–2030. Funding will come from the state budget and international financing.
The public consultation process will collect feedback from stakeholders before the plan is submitted for approval to the Council of Ministers.
