Summer tourism preparations intensify along Durrës coastline

TIRANA, April 17 – The municipality of Durrës has intensified work ahead of the summer tourism season across the coastal area. Efforts focus on preparing beaches that attract thousands of local and international visitors each year.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media showing ongoing preparation activities along the coastline. Municipal teams continue field operations, including sand treatment and disinfection measures.

Durrës authorities said preparations aim to ensure readiness for a successful tourist season. They added that coordinated teams are working along the entire beach zone to improve conditions.

Local students also joined the preparation activities as part of a civic initiative. The municipality said such actions are regularly organised ahead of the tourism season to support environmental standards and public awareness.
