Ylli in Rome: Italian support for establishing Albanian Paralympic Committee

Fidel Ylli, President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee, visited the Italian Paralympic Committee headquarters in Rome. He met President Marco Giunio De Sanctis.

They discussed technical assistance for creating the Albanian Paralympic Committee. They called it an important step for Paralympic sport in Albania.

The process follows recent changes in sports legislation. These changes created the legal basis for the new institution. Ylli praised Italy’s experience in Paralympic sport. He asked for technical and logistical support in building the new structure.

De Sanctis confirmed full support for Albania. He said Italy is ready to build a long-term partnership. The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. Both sides agreed on a roadmap for cooperation and next steps.

Ylli was joined by Deputy Minister Endrit Hoxha. He was also accompanied by Amarildo Omeri and Giorgio Scarso.
