“Porta e Alpeve” project brings €100M investment for mountain tourism

Prime Minister Edi Rama presented the “Porta e Alpeve” project on the “FLASIM” podcast. First, he announced a €100 million investment plan. The project is co-financed with the European Investment Bank.

Next, he said the project supports mountain tourism in northern Albania. It aims to strengthen the “Mountain Package” development strategy. Then, he explained the project design. It connects northern regions with the rest of the country. It improves year-round accessibility.

Moreover, he said the investment covers key infrastructure. It upgrades roads, transport, water systems, and sewage management. In addition, the project includes urban development and heritage restoration. It also protects natural areas.

After that, he stressed environmental protection. He said key natural sites must remain untouched. Furthermore, he said the project has a wide territorial impact. It supports tourism and economic growth in northern Albania.

Finally, he responded to criticism. He said the government has already delivered major progress in the north and will continue doing so.
