Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the Kukës Bridge over the Drin River. The bridge is a major urban infrastructure project on the Rruga e Kombit.
The structure connects both sides of the lake with the main national road. It replaces the old bridge and improves traffic flow in the area. The bridge is 310 meters long. The main steel arch spans 270 meters and rises 56 meters high.
It features a modern design with strong engineering and aesthetic value. The project was designed by Italian architect Giorgio Rizzo.
The bridge has four lanes, two in each direction. It includes a central traffic divider. Steel cables are anchored into the arch foundation for stability.
