TIRANA, April 20 – In the Berzhitë administrative unit of Tirana municipality, the completion of Bonaraks Bridge over the Erzen River has improved mobility and access for local residents.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the new bridge on social media, describing it as an infrastructure project that directly connects the Bonaraks neighbourhood with the rest of Iba e Poshtme village. He said the works increase safety and ease daily movement for families, children, and elderly residents.
Local authorities say the new structure replaces an older pedestrian-only crossing. The project now includes vehicle lanes, sidewalks, and around 100 metres of connecting road equipped with lighting and road signage.
Residents benefit from safer and faster travel across the area. The upgrade also strengthens links to main roads and improves overall local connectivity, particularly during night-time movement.
