New olive oil cooperative model launched in Lushnjë

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla presented a new agricultural cooperation model in Lushnjë. He joined Mayor Eriselda Sefa to launch a Agricultural Cooperation Society (SHBB) in the olive oil sector.

The initiative includes 17 local farmers. It aims to improve organization and strengthen cooperation in production. The model links farmers into a shared system from farm to market. Farmers produce individually but sell collectively.

Salla said the model reduces costs and increases efficiency. It also improves access to markets and boosts farmer incomes. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will expand the SHBB model nationwide. It plans to work with all 61 municipalities.

The goal is to strengthen rural economies. It also aims to increase competitiveness of “Made in Albania” products in local and international markets.
